April 2004 – Dream of Unkempt Garden

In this dream, I was in a beautiful, yet unkempt garden.  Everything was green and pretty with flowers, but it was totally overgrown and wild looking.  I was sad in the dream, and I sat down on the grass.  On my right was a gate – like a white picket fence gate – leading out of the garden and on my left, a door.  When I looked at the door it was dark, as black as the night.  A Man walked up to me and placed a brilliant gold ring on the grass next to me.  The ring shined as bright as the sun, it was so golden.  I remember feeling comforted by seeing the ring, but I did not know why it was given to me.

And then the dream ended.

Scriptural Interpretation:

Song 1:6  Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

The unkept garden symbolises my need to spend more time with the Lord.

The ring symbolises a covenant.

The door symbolises the time of judgment is near.

The gate symbolises the gates of Heaven.
