June 18, 2012 – Dream: The Lord of the Dance

In this dream, I opened a door and stepped into a dance studio.

I saw a lovely young woman who was very headstrong.  She tried to show an older Latin gentleman some dance steps.  But the more she tried to teach him, the less he liked the dance.  He felt the steps were not fluid enough and that she tried to control the movements too much. He was a strong, dignified male, and did not need her leading him.

He did not like her choice in music, preferring the old school Spanish ballads instead.  He stopped the dance and changed the music to the style he preferred and left the room.  But while he was gone, she put the music back the way she wanted it and hoped that when he returned, he wouldn’t change it back.

Scriptural Interpretation:

1Pe 5:2-6 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time…
