Aug 5-6, 2012 – Dreams: Teaching Me

Yesterday, as I was pouring over my dream journals, I received a lesson in dream interpretation from the Lord. It was amazing! Generally speaking, the Lord guides me to scripture for the interpretation and understanding; but He wanted to teach me something about the spiritual nature of the dreams.

I had a dream on August 5, 2012, about a Godly man and his cheating wife:

In the dream, I was falsely accused by the cheating wife, of trying to break something, and even though I was falsely accused, I humbled myself and apologized anyway, just to keep the peace. But she refused to believe me, claiming that I was insincere, and I became angry, so very angry in the dream that this woman had the audacity to falsely accuse me and also not accept my sincere attempt at peacekeeping. In the dream, when she came at me physically, I knocked her to the ground and reminded her that she is a harlot.

After I’d documented the dream in my dream journal, the Lord spoke to my spirit. He guided me through the aspects of the spiritual nature of the dream. The Godly man symbolically represented, Father God. The cheating wife, symbolically represented the wayward Church. And I symbolically represented the Authority of Jesus, who humbled himself when he did not have to, and set the record straight.

I thanked the Lord for helping me with understanding the interpretation of the dream, and I continued in my dream journals. I turned the page, and came across an entry I had written on August 5, 2012, the day before:

WORD: “Lay down, and I will speak to you.”

I felt right then and there in my spirit, that this word was for me, for now – and I knew I needed to go lay down. So I went to my bedroom, prayed, then laid in bed waiting on Him. Soon after, I fell asleep, and received a dream (August 6, 2012):

In the dream, I was shopping at Walmart with my husband, who did not speak in the dream. I was purchasing new clothes, and a woman came to me and showed me a skirt. Using both hands, she lifted up the skirt to eye level, and I said, “Yes, that’s what I’m looking for.” I took a closer look at the skirt and tested it. I stretched the elastic out just a little bit and when I did, the seam tore and frayed.

She said, “You’re going to have to pay for that!” And I responded, “No, I’m not, you can just as easily take it back to the manufacturers. This is Walmart, that is low quality clothing, you should know that it falls apart.” And then the dream ended.

When I woke, I pressed “record” on my notecorder, verbalizing what I saw in the dream.

Then the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart saying:

“The skirt is the Redeemer who was torn apart, unwanted; considered not worthy. The woman holding up the skirt represents the cross. Your husband represents the silent onlookers. Your role: Inspection.”

And I was just blown away, I felt so amazed and excited that the Lord had delivered this message to me. It was truly an amazing experience. If we follow Jesus, His Holy Spirit will lead us and teach us each step of the way. What an amazing Savior and Friend we have in Jesus…Draw near to Him and He is faithful to help us each and every day…!

Scriptural Interpretation:

Gen 40:8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

Rth 3:9 And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.

Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

    • Only small minded people who walk in gross error would think that the Holy Spirit, our Lord and Savior would not speak to His own and teach us all things. Let them have their conceits – I’m standing with Jesus. God bless you!! =)
