This morning, after entreating Yeshua with song, I was laying in bed just resting in Him, and He gave me a vision of feet. Bare feet being washed, I could see the Lord’s hands washing a man’s feet with soap, I could see the sudsy soap.
He gave me a word to go with this vision, He said, CARE.
The footwashing represents the depth of His concern, care, and ministering. The feet were definitely male, they did not appear as a woman’s feet. So perhaps the Lord is just pointing me to the footwashing scriptures…
I have performed that service for someone once. She is an unbeliever, but I believe it’s possible that the Lord may minister to her Salvation in Jesus at some point in the future. I did wash her feet and massaged them, and put ointment on them, I took my time and didn’t rush, making sure she was comfortable. I did it just to be a ministering spirit to her because she was really going through a hard time. I remember looking up at her and her face was at peace, I hadn’t seen her so relaxed in a very long time. As I washed her feet, I prayed for her.
Recently, the Lord told me that what I did was very significant. I think it’s acts of service like that, that the Lord is really pleased with. We, as a modern people, don’t understand the spiritual depth, how deeply spiritual things like that are, but when we follow in Yeshua’s footsteps, that goes a long way to ministering to Him.
I think everyone should wash someone’s feet at least once in their life and do it prayerfully, ask the Lord whose feet can I wash Lord? Because in doing that, what we are actually doing is we are performing a service that entreats our Heavenly Father lovingly, and we are joining ourselves in unity with our Savior, when we follow in his footsteps and when we do what He’s asked us to do by copying Him, with the love and the reverence He so desires. I really feel that in my spirit right now.
Thank you Lord for ministering this word to me so that I can share it with my brothers and sisters who love you too, Amen.
Joh 13:10-17 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
