Oct 10, 2012 – Vision: Sudsy Feet

This morning, after entreating Yeshua with song, I was laying in bed just resting in Him, and He gave me a vision of feet.  Bare feet being washed, I could see the Lord’s hands washing a man’s feet with soap, I could see the sudsy soap.

He gave me a word to go with this vision, He said, CARE.

The footwashing represents the depth of His concern, care, and ministering.  The feet were definitely male, unless the woman had big claude-hopper feet, which I know a few women who do, but to me they did not appear as a woman’s feet.  So perhaps the Lord is just pointing me to the footwashing scriptures…

I have performed that service for someone once.  She is an unbeliever, but I believe it’s possible that the Lord may minister to her Salvation in Jesus at some point in the future.  I did wash her feet and massaged them, and put ointment on them, I took my time and didn’t rush, making sure she was comfortable.   I did it just to be a ministering spirit to her because she was really going through a hard time.  I remember looking up at her and her face was at peace, I hadn’t seen her so relaxed in a very long time.  As I washed her feet, I prayed for her.

Recently, the Lord told me that what I did was very significant.  I think it’s acts of service like that, that the Lord is really pleased with.  We, as a modern people, don’t understand the spiritual depth, how deeply spiritual things like that are, but when we follow in Yeshua’s footsteps, that goes a long way to ministering to Him.

I think everyone should wash someone’s feet at least once in their life and do it prayerfully, ask the Lord whose feet can I wash Lord?  Because in doing that, what we are actually doing is we are performing a service that entreats our Heavenly Father lovingly, and we are joining ourselves in unity with our Savior, when we follow in his footsteps and when we do what He’s asked us to do by copying Him, with the love and the reverence He so desires.  I really feel that in my spirit right now.

Thank you Lord for ministering this word to me so that I can share it with my brothers and sisters who love you too, Amen.

Scriptural Reference:

Joh 13:10-17  Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.   If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

  1. Yes–I remember when I was a part of the SDA church years ago—I loved it when they had communion with bread and wine–and before that–we would wash each others feet—and each time you had to select someone who you didn’t know or hadn’t ever washed that person’s feet—-and we prayed or gave your testimony with that person—blessings! Psalms 26 comes to mind!

  2. This is a very good post. Foot washing is a way to express many characteristics of Jesus!! It would really help us – – IF – – we perform the act of foot washing with the right mindset and be led by the spirit of God before, during, and after the service.

I believe God is desiring to bring our total beings into oneness with Him during these last days. This is very important to me!! Thanks for sharing!!

    • You know what’s funny is that even though I knew Jesus performed this service and he admonishes us in scripture to do it as well – really, I was just trying to be helpful. I didn’t understand there was any deep spiritual significance until recently when the Lord gave me the word. I did that for her about 3 years ago if you can believe that. See how slow I am? lol

I’m so thankful Abba loves us just the way we are. =) Blessings, ppd.

      • You are just an amazing person and i’m glad I know you ! ! ! You bring so much confirmation to the lives of Gods people – who know and listen to you!

I was a part of many foot washing services years ago . . BUT. . I don’t ever remember having the right mindset toward God to go along with my actions. I was only going through the motions. My pastor recently announced that the Lord will have us to perform a foot washing service,,, now you’re confirming the word of the Lord by posting visions from the other side of the country!!!

When we get to the kingdom . . . I will be stopping by your mansion and delivering you the biggest hug you have ever received in your life : )

  3. I just posted a video from here in Israel where I describe a spirit-led encounter with a beloved brother and sister in Jerusalem. Before we left to find their home, I went to wash the day’s dirt from my sandaled feet before putting on socks and shoes for the evening. Abba said, “Keegan will wash your feet,” so I resisted my urge to wash my own feet and, instead put on socks over my dirty feet. Sure enough, when we arrived at Keegan and Benjamin’s home, the first thing she did was wash our feet and prophecy over each of us individually! It was a beautiful act of service straight from our Lord and Savior Yahushua; what a tremendous blessing. Love you Sis!

  4. Hey Selina,

Again another brilliant confirmation. Just yesterday afternoon while meditating in the LORD, I went to my secret place and he began to wash my feet! ahh as I stated in my thank you message yesterday – you confirm so much of what the LORD reveals to me – I have the security that my visions and experiences are real. HE then picked me up and placed me in a bed… I too had visions a few weeks ago of being in a marriage bed with the LORD, this occurred again yesterday. I also have had visions of where I am married to HIM. he is my bridegroom, I HIS husband -I had one in which we were getting married in a chapel. Your encounters confirmed these experiences as they seem to occur within a similar time span. THANK YOU mama. Another blessed reading. I will seek to wash another’s feet! Blessings to you! Mwa

    • God bless you, I’m so glad the Lord is ministering to you on such a deep level sister. Stay close to our Savior, Yeshua, our Kinsman Redeemer. =)
